Incubation fever

At one point, I had been on vacation and when I returned I found my "girls" had collected over 20 eggs and had been sitting on them. Without thinking, I collected the eggs and took them in the house. Afterwards, I realized that I had no way of telling which ones were edible and which ones were too old or fertilized and growing. So, I borrowed Wanda's incubator...

My chickens

I was given a small flock of bantam frizzle cochin chickens from a friend who had cancer. She wanted to be sure that I would take as good a care of her chickens as she would have if she'd been able. Well, I do!!!!! I love those dratted birds! Some have already passed on of old age. But I have enjoyed perpetuating their species (incubating!!!! I will start...
